Taxassist set for growth

Taxassist set for growth

A family-run accountancy business is set for expansion after acquiring new premises in Keighley, backed by a finance package from Santander Corporate & Commercial banking.

The husband and wife team, David and Julia Forrester, have acquired the property adjacent to their current office on North Street and intend on moving their branch of TaxAssist Accountants to the new premises.

David and Julia established the business in 2006 and operate as part of the TaxAssist Accountants network in the UK. They have been steadily growing the business by more than ten per cent a year, and currently service more than 200 business clients and 100 personal tax return cases.

David Forrester, Director of Tax and Accounting Yorkshire Ltd, said: “It’s great to have purchased a commercial property from which we will be able to run our business. Both Julia and I are qualified accountants and have always dreamed of owning our own business. Since starting our company in 2006 we have watched it grow and grow, and we are now at the size where it feels right to establish ourselves in our own, permanent premises. The savings we realise will help to grow our business to its next level.”

Drew Haymes, Relationship Director for Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “We are delighted to have been able to help David and Julia with this purchase. At Santander we are committed to supporting small private-owned businesses like theirs to succeed and flourish. I have no doubt that with their business acumen and strong management skills they will make every success of this next stage of their journey.”
