DDD Ltd expand its baby brand portfolio

Thanks to NatWest funding, Watford-based health and personal care business DDD Ltd expanded its product lines following the acquisition of 4little1.

DDD Ltd was established in 1912 and is now run by fourth generation family member, Tom Horner. The company specialises in manufacturing pharmaceutical and toiletry products, as well as distributing products across the UK and abroad.

When the opportunity arose to buy 4little1, DDD Ltd knew it was too good anopportunity to be missed. Managing Director, Tom Horner and Finance DirectorPaul Williamson, turned to Lewis Williamson, Relationship Manager at the NatWestHarrow office, for funding to support the acquisition. The loan, provided by the bank as part of its participation in the Government’s Funding for Lending Scheme, was provided free from arrangement fees.

DDD Ltd’s acquisition of 4little1 complements its three existing baby care ranges and has given the company an even stronger footing in the sector. “By strengthening our own brands’ portfolio we’ll have more control of the business’ future as we’ll be relying less heavily on distribution of other companies’ products” says Paul.

The company hopes to continue expansion with potential acquisitions, while also developing its existing brands, which include Astral, Blistex, Nasosaland Snuffle Babe.
