We are currently restructuring RBS’s wholesale banking business. Changes mean that there will now be sales and trading operations in Singapore and the US, a sales office in Japan and coverage teams in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway.
The NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland Group has a team of professional international trade practitioners located throughout the UK. This team of experts is able to support our customers and relationship teams with advice concerning the practicalities, finance and risk mitigation when trading globally.
As part of the team we also have a dedicated inward investment team who provide advice and support to overseas companies requiring UK banking services. The team can provide information on establishing a business in the UK, support the account opening process, work alongside overseas partner banks and act as a ‘subject matter expert’ for inbound overseas businesses. The team will co-ordinate with dedicated relationship managers to ensure the inbound business is banked locally and, when appropriate, with a sector specialist.

If you have an inward investment enquiry, you can contact our SolutionsLine Team. The SolutionsLine consultants are experienced in both domestic and international cash management, international trade and inward investment.
If the enquiry comes from one of our partner banks or IBOS member then the enquiry will go direct to the implementation and on-boarding team.
The initial part of any inward investment enquiry is to understand the business activity. Thereafter we can find the right relationship team with the right specialist knowledge to support the customer. Our SolutionsLine will explain what options are available and ensure the customer is guided through the process.
